Giant Sand Pit, Donkey Rides, Punch and Judy. High Wires, Climbing Wall, Giant Ker plunk, Graffiti Wall, Community Stalls, Art and Craft Stalls, Dog Show, Dog Agility, Story time with the Theatre of Widdershins, the List is endless…….., and not forgetting that the whole weekend is kicked off with our colourful Carnival, with this years theme being ‘Party Time’!

Scarecrow Competition
New for 2016, we thought we’d have a Scarecrow competition, with prizes for not only those creating the scarecrows but for those that find them too!
So fancy making a scarecrow, then this is what you need to do.
How to Enter the Scarecrow Competition
- Create your own scarecrow, using the theme for this year’s Big Weekend which is ‘Party Time’.
- Name your scarecrow (this needs to be visible for those people doing the hunt).
- Decide where you are going to put your scarecrow, but remember permission might be needed.
- Send all this information along with your name, age and telephone number to: committee@partyonpotton.org.uk
- Once you’ve created your scarecrow a photograph of it in situ will be required. Again this can be emailed to the above address, but this must be done by Fri 26th August 2016, to be included in the Scarecrow Trail that is taking part over the Big Weekend.
Fancy trying to find the Scarecrows, then this is what you need to do.
How to Enter the Scarecrow Trail
- Come and grab a Trail Map and Entry Form from the Ticket Booth on the Field.
- Solve the trail and complete the Entry Form and return to the Ticket Booth before 2pm on Monday 29th.
- Prizes will be awarded from 4pm on the Monday for the following categories:
- Public’s Favourite Scarecrow
- Best Location of Scarecrow
- POP’s favourite Scarecrow
- All returned Entry Forms will be entered into a daily prize draw
So, the hunt is on for the Best Ever Scarecrows, look forward to seeing them about town!

Dog Show Competition
Saturday 27th August
4pm in the Arena
Back for its 2nd year is our Fabulous Dog Show. Potton has such a collection of dogs and having had 43 entries last time in 2014 it was certainly something we wanted to repeat.
And so, to make it a little bit easier for everyone here are the categories for the show. Remember this is a show for FUN, rosettes to be awarded to the winners.

Evening Entertainment – Ticketed Nights
Friday Night
Nightclub at the Marquee
For one night only Potton gets its very own nightclub. dance the night away to Club Classics, and party dance floor fillers!
Saturday Night
Sound Express are back with their fabulous Big Band sound, come and dance the night away, but remember this night always sells out, so get your tickets early.
Sunday Night
Casino and Cabaret Night, come and be entertained by the fabulous Regina Dwight (back for her 2nd year) and Eva Iglesias, hot from the stage of Britain’s Got Talent.
Casino tables will be open throughout the evening, Fun money is used and the biggest winner of the evening wins a prize.
Monday Night
The Wizard of Potton – Panto comes to town, Potton Players putting on an amazing Potton version of the Wizard of Oz!
